Platform limits
These come from Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn. They apply to every app that connects to those platforms, not only Scorper, and we cannot lift them for anyone.
| Platform | Their limit |
|---|---|
| 50 published posts per account per 24 hours. | |
| Direct messages can only be sent inside Instagram's 24-hour messaging window, meaning within 24 hours of the person's last message to the account. | |
| TikTok | Until TikTok finishes auditing an app, posts published through that app's direct connection are visible only to the account owner (TikTok calls this SELF_ONLY). Scorper's own TikTok app is in that audit now. Until it clears, TikTok posts from customer accounts go out through a separate audited route, so they are public as normal. |
| Publish only. LinkedIn does not let us read posts, comments or metrics back. |
Scorper limits
These are ours. Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok see every Scorper customer as one app, and an app that sends too much too fast gets throttled or suspended for all of its users at once. These limits exist to protect the platform connection for everyone. They are counted per connected account, so each brand you run has its own allowance.
| Platform | Posts | Direct messages | API reads |
|---|---|---|---|
| Instagram's own limit, above | 250 per hour | 1,200 per hour | |
| 120 per day | Not offered | 600 per hour | |
| TikTok | 60 per day | Not offered | 600 per hour |
| X | 200 per day | Not offered | 600 per hour |
| YouTube | 40 per day | Not offered | 600 per hour |
| Uploads | Our limit |
|---|---|
| Media uploads | 40 GB per day per Scorper account. This applies to uploads only: scheduled posts are never blocked by it. |
An hour is the current clock hour and a day is the current calendar day, both in UTC.
Our limits can change, and we raise them on request
Our numbers are judgement, not measurement. We set them well above what a single account should need before we had long-run data, so some will turn out to be wrong. Read them as today's settings, not as a promise or a legal commitment: they can move, and this page always shows the current ones.
For your agent
The same numbers are published as JSON with no login, so an agent or a script can read them and pace itself instead of being refused.
curl https://dashboard.scorper.ai/api/limits
When a call is refused, the error names which kind of limit it was: platform_limit is theirs, scorper_limit is ours. Both come back as HTTP 429 with a message that links to the JSON above.
