One line. It installs the CLI, adds the Scorper skills to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI (whichever you run it from), links this machine to your account with a scoped key, and walks you through sign in, plan and connecting socials. Verify with:

From a cron job or CI
Because the skills work in Claude Code's non-interactive mode, a scheduled job can run the same prompt:

Keep a confirmation step in the prompt unless you want unattended posting. Scorper's own scheduler is often the better tool for timing: schedule a week of posts in one session and let Scorper fire them, with no machine that has to stay on.
Build your own tool on top
Your machine holds a scoped key, so anything your agent builds can call the same posting and scheduling endpoints the official skills use. People build a localhost posting dashboard in their own style, a content calendar app that schedules through Scorper, or a drafting bot that waits for a thumbs-up on Telegram before posting.
Accounts and brands
- Reconnecting the same account after a token refresh is always fine: “reconnect my instagram”.
- Swapping a slot to a different account twice within 3 days locks posting on that slot for 3 days (an anti-abuse rule). Other slots keep working.
- On Studio, scorper default @handle pins the brand this machine posts to by default; name another brand in the prompt to override.
- scorper logout then scorper login switches accounts on one machine.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I post to Instagram from the terminal without an AI agent?
- The CLI handles the account side (login, connect, upload, status). Composing and publishing a post is done through the agent skills, which is why the install sets up Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI. In practice you type a sentence to your agent and it runs the CLI for you. For scripted posting, Claude Code's non-interactive mode (claude -p) runs the same prompt from a cron job.
- Does the CLI need an API key?
- No. npx scorper@latest init links the machine to your account with a scoped key that it manages. You never paste a token.
- Which operating systems?
- macOS, Windows and Linux, anywhere Node 18 or newer runs.
- Is the CLI open source?
- Yes. It is published on npm as scorper and the source is at github.com/faisalchdry/scorper-cli.
- Can several machines share one account?
- Yes. Run the install on each machine; each gets its own scoped key. scorper logout unlinks one machine without affecting the others.
