How to connect X to Claude

    Add the Scorper connector in Claude

    The Claude desktop, web and iOS apps cannot run terminal commands, so they connect through Scorper's remote MCP server instead. In Claude, open Settings, Connectors, add a custom connector with the URL below and sign in with your Scorper email when prompted. That is the whole setup. It is a standard OAuth-protected MCP server, so the same URL works in any MCP client that supports OAuth.

What you can publish to X from Claude

X is the platform developers already post to from the terminal, which makes it the natural first connection for a build-in-public workflow. A prompt like "when I say a release shipped, post a one-liner to x and a longer version to linkedin" turns your AI into the posting step of your release process. X's 280-character limit is enforced on the standard tier, so your AI trims or threads accordingly and reads the result back before posting.

Scheduling: “schedule this for 9am monday on x”. The calendar: “what's going out this week?”. Moving things: “move friday's post to saturday”. Everything you schedule from Claude also shows in the dashboard calendar.

Something only Claude users should know

The app connector and the terminal install share one account. Schedule something from the Claude iOS app on the train and it appears in the dashboard calendar and in Claude Code at your desk. Media you want to post from the app is attached to the chat rather than referenced by file path.

Your machine holds a scoped key. X's own credentials stay on Scorper's side, and Claude never sees a platform token.

Honest limits

  • X publishing goes through the official X API, so X's rules above apply. Scorper does not work around them.
  • The AI-agent connection is on every plan. Pro posts to Instagram only. Max ($25 a month), Studio and Agency post to every social.
  • The Claude app connector needs a Claude plan that supports custom connectors.
  • Some things are easier in the dashboard than in chat: bulk-editing a month of scheduled posts, for example. Both views share one calendar.

Frequently asked questions

Can Claude post to X on its own?
Not without a connection. Claude can write a caption but has no permission to publish. Scorper is that permission: one connector URL links the Claude apps to your account, then Claude can publish and schedule to X through the official API.
Can the AI post a thread on X?
Ask for one: "post this as a thread". Your AI splits the text into 280-character posts, shows you the sequence, and publishes it after you confirm.
Does this need X Premium or a paid X API plan?
No. You connect your own X account through the approval page; Scorper handles the API on its side. Longer-than-280-character posts do need X Premium on the account itself.
Does this work in the Claude iPhone app?
Yes. Add the connector once in Claude (it syncs across your Claude devices), then post from the iOS app by attaching the photo or video to the chat and saying where it should go.
Will it post without asking me?
No. Claude reads the exact post back (platform, media, caption) and publishes only after you confirm. Scheduled posts are shown before they are queued.
